Twisting and turning The spirit keeps burning We run through garden We run through the meadow And sliding we come to The edge of all reason And scream They’re tall and they’re lanky I’ll tell you quite frankly They myth and the legend Do not do them justice With ruthless conniving They’re downright beguiling The blood started streaming They’re smiling, we’re screaming We sat there and watched them Destroy all we lived for All that we loved for And what we would die for The slaughter was measured They raped what we treasured Then laughed They laughed Ghost in the night, we are dancing in circles A murder of crows feasting on our creation Terror or freedom, it’s all the same We cry They looked up, they’ve seen us We trembled, they stumbled They charged up the hillside We turned around quickly We stepped to the shadows At one with the forest The darkness embraced us So they could not see us They charged on not knowing We’d planned their destruction We came down upon them They knew not what hit them They fell to the garden and prayed We preyed Ghosts in the night, we are dancing in circles A murder of crows feasting on our creation Terror or freedom, it’s all the same We cry We ripped them and tore them Their deaths lay before them Our judgment we’ll take Put their heads on a stake With eyes that are staring And no longer caring They die Ghosts in the night, we are dancing in circles A murder of crows feasting on our creation Terror or freedom, it’s all the same We cry

I’m waiting for the snow to fall And wondering if it really will This time I’m waiting quietly For something exciting But all I really know is that Another life has been born And I’m one step closer, Two steps closer now to being Not so far behind What did I know? I couldn’t see at all The sun was shining in my eyes I love the smell of Saturday When everything is not what it seems Frustrating bits of time Where everybody is alive I’m dancing like the flame Of a candle in jar Where everybody is alive Everybody is, but the patient What did I know? I couldn’t see at all The sun was shining in my eyes I wonder every day That somebody else is wondering with me He just sort of mumbled Then shook my hand and walked away I feel like a hermit In my own mind This is a place Where even evergreens Even evergreens know their season What did I know? I couldn’t see at all The sun was shining in my eyes

I sat alone in a café bar (I came there) A Russian queen, a small and wispy thing (He seemed to know) It was so simple and so pure (What could it mean?) Looking up, she (I) walked out of a (his) dream. They say we don’t remember But it’s written on our souls. Did we really come all this way And not know what we came here for? We embraced, his hands on the lace (I held her close) Stretched across the coin belt on my waist (She’s really here) I’ll sing to him the story of my loss (I’ll give voice to her thoughts) And run dancing into the dawn. They say we don’t remember But it’s written on our souls. Did we really come all this way And not know what we came here for? Just … leave … ride … time Just leave what you’ve known behind. Ride this dream while we still have the time. With her kiss, she opened up my mind (Give up the past) Showed me how to leave what was behind (You’re free at last) All I need is to call her name (You know my name) We’ll create a world that’s not the same. They say we don’t remember But it’s written on our souls. Did we really come all this way And not know what we came here for? Just leave what you’ve known behind. Ride this dream while we still have the time.

In a garden full of little heads The cat no longer smiled Mad as any hatter She looked around and sighed Children laughing at her She turned her back and cried She turned her head and lied Then turned off her mind and died Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night She was a precious child She was her daddy’s smile All that remains is a dream Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night Now my poor heart it seems Is all shredded and cold For my dear Sonia Like the Woolf before her She loaded her pockets with stones And not looking back She waded in deeper “It’s cold,” she gasped, “Oh, so cold.” Wine-soaked and sleep deprived She’d somehow lost her way With silent screams of apathy She hummed the song of day Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night She was a precious child She was her daddy’s smile All that remains is a dream Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night Now my poor heart it seems Is all shredded and cold For my dear Sonia Sonia, cara mia, quanto ti amo Non è giusto che ne sei andata The ghostly embrace of winter’s first kiss On Ferris wheels in the dark She gestured with a hand that shook With the sadness of her soul The rabbit hole is empty now The hatter’s no longer mad The Cheshire cat no longer smiles The Red Queen only laughs Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night She was a precious child She was her daddy’s smile All that remains is a dream Did you hear of what happened? She died in the black of the night Now my poor heart it seems Is all shredded and cold

Kasojeni Bay 06:24
In her mind, another time Shufflin’ down the street Cotton bonnet on her head Wood clogs upon her feet She never said, “Hello,” to me Nor even yet, “Goodbye” She never said a word to me Just looked at me and sighed Nikoli mi je rekla "Zdravo" Pač tudi ni "Zbogom" In Kasojeni Bay Friday did a one foot dance Looked like a god in drag He swatted flies and dead magpies Then tossed them in his bag Friday was an errand boy Did favors for the Maven He brought the message home to me ‘Cause, Friday was the raven Petek je bil krokar Petek je bil trčkaralo Usluge je naredil ker Friday was the raven In Kasojeni Bay (Dance with me! Dance with me!) Bugs in the dumpsters Sing oilcan operas to the Lord He appears in concrete palm trees And sugar cube fantasies Fish dance in buckets The Prophet is one of us He is now They shot Absinthe on Sunday ‘Cause the vodka was all gone Then danced a tarantella And sang death songs to the dawn Friday missed his funeral Although it was his own The lady she made mourning buttons Out of Friday’s bones Petek pogrebu zamudil Čeprav je bil njegov lastni Dama je pripravila gumbe Od Petkov kosti In Kasojeni Bay

Breathing 03:44
The truck how it rolled as it tried to swerve Fear in her eyes as the whole world turned upside down Her mind went blank as it all spun all around The crash and the bang, Glass shattering Now lay quiet and still as the chaos ensued The whole confused scene that was desperate indeed She laid there and she looked, As her as her eyes took in There was breathing. Off in the distance, the siren’s song started It trickled and tumbled and cleared out the haze. People were standing, and then there was screaming, the wailing was coming from deep down inside of her Blood on the ground, Glass all around But, why was her truck sitting there upside down? She looked to the left and was frightened to see Was she breathing? Crashing and crumbling and speeding and tumbling and turning and crashing and spinning and fumbling and skidding and yelling and cursing and sliding and turning and turning and turning and spinning They picked up the scene and took her from me As the sun in the sky had just finished setting This whole scattered dream, wasn’t real, could it be? Mixed with the blood and death and ruin We only just left to go get some food We were hungry and it, was late in the evening This simplest of tasks had just taken her life She’s not breathing Off in the distance, the siren’s song started It trickled and tumbled and cleared out the haze. People were standing, and then there was screaming, the wailing was coming from deep down inside of her Blood on the ground, Glass all around But, why was her truck sitting there upside down? She looked to the left and was frightened to see She stopped breathing.

Along the trail The cold wet night The servant and his master They walked along And sang a song Fi diddly dee da die-o The air was brisk The night was still Was there no need to wonder The hunt was on So sing a song Fi diddly dee da die-o They had no food Nowhere to go This servant and his master A lonely pair A shivered song Fi diddly dee da die-o Now raise your glass And sing a toast And drink until it’s empty Sing to the east and Sing to the west The hunting hounds of hell They heard a sound A low down growl A warning to be minded A hairy beast That sang a song Fi diddly dee da die-o The charge was fast The beast attacked The servant and his master They had no time To sing their song Fi diddly dee da die-o The master gasped And tried to breath As his heart was ripped wide open The servant laughed And sang a song Fi diddly dee da die-o Now raise your glass And sing a toast And drink until it’s empty Sing to the east and Sing to the west The hungry hounds of hell So off they went Servant and beast Along their merry way, yeah They had the food They had the song Fi diddly dee da die-o The master made A splendid meal For the Beast and servant He filled them up So sing a song Fi diddly dee da die-o So come with me The Devil makes three Toasts up to the Master Raise up your cup And sing along The servant & the Master Now raise your glass And sing a toast And drink until it’s empty Sing to the east Sing to the west The drunken hounds of hell

I remember the old crone Saying that you don’t Walk alone in these forests after dark My father would sigh And then he would try To explain, but he’d never really start The folks in the town Told stories in the round But they never really spoke the final part So my brother and I Were left asking why You never walk these forests after dark There are whispers in the woods they say They won’t let you turn away The black stones in the forest They weren’t put there by man And once you hear that buzzing sound Or see the prints upon the ground And feel your blood run cold with fear Then you’ll understand. So my brother one day Decided he would pay No heed to the words our elders told He strapped on his knife And kissed me good-bye And set off alone into the cold When my parents returned I told them what I’d learned Mother’s grief was a sight to behold My father just stared And I was not prepared To see a broken man who once had been so bold There are whispers in the woods they say They won’t let you turn away The black stones in the forest They weren’t put there by man And once you hear that buzzing sound Or see the prints upon the ground And feel your blood run cold with fear Then you’ll understand. We sat through the night At morning’s first light The village men set off into the woods And what they brought back Fit into a sack What happened I’ve never understood But from the woods in the fall I can hear my brother call I listen though I don’t think that I should He calls out to me So tonight I’ll go and see I’d resist him but I don’t think that I could There are whispers in the woods they say They won’t let you turn away The black stones in the forest They weren’t put there by man And once you hear that buzzing sound Or see the prints upon the ground And feel your blood run cold with fear Then you’ll understand.
